BEST AIR FORCE DUTY STATION

What’s going on YouTube? My name is Brady Nunez. For anything I want to say, please excuse my voice. I did catch a little cold over this past weekend. All that being said, the topic of today’s video is going to be the best duty station in the air force.

So let’s get right into it.

Alright, so as most of you guys know, I’m stationed in Fort Meada, Maryland. And for all my new subscribe rivers, I’m actually from Maryland. My parents actually live about an hour away from me and that’s where I grew up. This past weekend, I was actually up there spending some time with my family showing my dad how to use the drone for a little bit. He was so excited immediately after he.

Was on bestbuy.com looking at drones.

So you might see a Papa Nunez YouTube channel coming soon. Stay tuned for that. I’ll be sure to link you guys to that when that happens. So, since the topic of today’s video is the best duty station in the air force, I figured I’d give you guys a little bit of background knowledge of where I’m currently stationed. Just a lot of foliage in Maryland, a lot of cornfields, a lot of woods. There’s also a lot of water too. We’re known for our crabs here in Maryland. So something I absolutely love about the drone is that it just makes me want to get outside and start filming.

I’ll be driving down the road and.

I just see like a nice landscape.

Like earlier, I always pass these power lines, right?

And it says no trespassing, but I.

Just parked at a church that was.

Super close by and I flew the drone close to these power lines and I actually found out there was like.

A little stream that goes along there. It just looks beautiful. As I mentioned earlier, I do have a cold and I did just get off work, but I also want to hit the gym. So I think I’m going to go home, take a little nap.

I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky. I think about it every night and day. Spread my wing and fly away. I believe.

Need to stop flying that drone, man.

Alright, guys, so I’m in my car right now.

I’m gonna try to stay in the.

Light as best as I can. I hope you guys can see me, but I’m gonna go back to the topic of today’s video. So while you’re at Air Force basic.

Training, or BMT, they have you fill out what’s called a dream sheet. And very similar to the list that you filled out at maps or before you joined, it’s a list of basically all the places that you would like to get stationed at. At the end of the day, though, this list, this dream list, is all the places that you would want to go. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the Air force is going to actually station you guys there. So, with that being said, there’s a point that I want to make, but I think it’ll be a little bit clear if we can get some other people’s perspectives. So I’m about to head into the gym, and let’s do a little bit of a social experiment.

I’m asking a bunch of people. All right, I’m going to get right here. We’re going to make this weird. All right, so if you could live anywhere. One place, you’d pick one place.

Ideal place.

State, city, country? Where would it?

Los Angeles. California.

Los Angeles.

I’m a Laker fan.

Okay.

Yeah.

New Zealand is pretty cool because you.

Got the ocean, you got the mountains.

It’s kind of, like, similar to Australia, right?

Yes. Sweet. Very similar.

Charlotesville, Virginia.

Okay.

It’s a nice atmosphere.

Yeah.

Nice people there. Like good food.

Cool.

I think the rock lives there, too, sometimes.

In Armenia, on a mountain. Armenia, yeah, on a mountain.

First answer is the easy, obvious choice. Maryland. Like, where we work and live now.

Yeah.

And then I think, honestly, Texas. Like, anywhere in Texas.

There’s a lot of, like, Texas up there for me, too. So I’m gonna save the best. The best for last right now.

Oh, my God.

All right, so I’m gonna make a.

Little bit harder for you.

I would ask people, ideally, like, if they wanted to live somewhere and work somewhere, because I’m not only asking military people where they would want to go rent, but for you, I’m going to ask if you had to live somewhere, if you had to get stationed somewhere overseas. Yeah.

If you had to get stationed somewhere.

Overseas, where would you go?

There has to be one place in Asia.

Asia? Yeah.

Either Korea or Japan, but I’m not too sure which one.

Okay.

And then one would have to be somewhere in Europe.

Talk to me, baby. Use a blissy little missy.

What’s your name?

Brady.

Brady.

Got you, man. It’s going to be 2056, brother. Watch that camera, man. Nice.

All right, guys, so as you guys can see, just picked up some takeout. Now, honestly, I’ve been trying to do takeout a little bit less. We’ve been eating out a lot. Clubs aside, basically, the whole point of me asking everybody those answers was to kind of prove my point because everyone literally answered differently. And the point that I wanted to make by getting everyone’s opinions is that someone’s idea of perfect isn’t going to be the same as the next person. What’s perfect for somebody isn’t going to be perfect for everybody. And that’s kind of the answer to the title of this video. The best duty station doesn’t really exist. It all comes down to personal preference. A lot of people said one, they answered because of weather, because of family, a sports team, bunch of stuff like that. And same thing comes for the air force. A lot of people want to get stationed in different places for different reasons. Basically, I wanted to say this because Fort Mead was nowhere on my dream sheet. But honestly, I’ve been taking a look at my life recently, and I’m super grateful. As you guys saw, at the beginning of my video, I was just up with my parents.

You know what I mean? I’m able to go see my parents on the weekends. And that’s a blessing that a lot of military personnel don’t have. A lot of people miss their families, man. The only communication that they have is through facetime and phone calls. And I’m looking at my life right now, and I’m truly blessed. I have amazing people around me. The point that I want to make is sometimes that we just have to look at where we are in our lives and just look at all the opportunity that’s around us. There’s so much opportunity around us, and a lot of times we just spend our time and our energy wasted on the other person. What does this person have? Why am I not here? This person lives over here, and they have so much opportunity over here. What about you? What about all the opportunities that you have? I guarantee you, and social media plays a big part in this. Instagram, YouTube. A lot of you guys may look at my videos, and I actually do get some of these comments. People say, man, how do I live the lifestyle that you’re living?

And that’s kind of why I put out the videos that I put out, because I’m trying to lay a blueprint if you do want to take this path, if you want to join the military, I’m trying to lay that blueprint out there. So instead of asking, man, why is he here and why can’t I be there instead, you can ask yourself, okay, what did he do to get there instead? Having mentors is great. Having people that you look up to is great inspirations. I do the same thing. I watch a lot of YouTube people, athletes that I look up to people who are very successful in life, but I don’t like to put them on such a high pedestal. Don’t put people on a pedestal. Don’t put them in a different stratosphere than you. Look at them, listen to what they say. Maybe watch interviews or look at people’s stories and see the things that they’ve done. Maybe take something from their mindset. That’s kind of what I do. I look at different people, different successful people. I listen to them talk. I’ve listened to the things that they’ve done. I take their experiences and I pick people’s brains.

It’s very important to have mentors. Mentors that you know or you may not know. Like I said, it could be a successful person that you’re watching through the Internet. I know. Like I said, people ask me for advice and they look at my channel. I know I can be that person for other people. I have those people, too. It could be someone in your life, could be your dad, a friend. But. Yeah, I know I’m totally veered left on you guys when you thought I was going to go this way, talk about the best duty station. But I really just wanted to talk about, just look at all the opportunity around you. Where you are right now is where you’re supposed to be. Even if it’s not where you want to be in the future, you’re supposed to be here now because there’s some moves that you need to make right now for you to get to point b. You know what I’m saying? You’re at point a right now. Take those steps here before you can get over there. But. Okay, I’m off my soapbox, guys. Inspirational, Nunez. Inspirational. Brady is done for the night.

It’s been a long day. I’m ready to eat. I need to take some medicine because you guys hear my voice right now. I sound like trash. And I also need to get some sleep because I can’t be having any more lucid dreams. Can’t be having any more lucid dreams like the type of dreams I’ve been having. So if you guys enjoyed this video, please leave a thumbs up on it. Really enjoyed making this video. Comment down below.
