Hitachi C10FCH2 Review 10-Inch
I bought the Hitachi C10FCH2 10-Inch Miter Saw about three weeks ago and it has been a fantastic addition to my home woodwork shop. With its portability and light weight, this unit is able to be easily move anywhere around the shop.
This is extremely important since the shop is not that large, so being able to move equipment around as it is needed is very important for my small business. Not only can it be easily set up with just a couple of clamps, but the smoothness of the cut is remarkable for such a light weight unit. This is unlike other models that I have owned which tended to create a lot more vibration.

This was not the case with this saw. The built in laser helps to ensure an accurate miter or bevel no matter what type of material is being cut, the extension tables are quite handy as well. The only real issue with the Hitachi C10FCH2 is the hold down clamp tends to be a bit awkward, but that is a small issue.
This model also comes with a comprehensive instruction manual that fully demonstrates all of the saws capabilities. It is important to read this document to really understand each and every part of the C10FCH2, but it is not necessary for simple cutting and joining of materials. Unlike other manuals however, this one seems to read well without the poor English that is too often seen these days from low quality products.
This particular Hitachi model is vastly underrated as a performance tool. Since this is the first Saw that I have purchased, it bears considerable inspection, but having used it for about a month now, more of this product line is likely to be purchased. This is due to two reasons: the lower price and the quality of the product.
It is definitely one saw that belongs in a home woodworker’s shop. It has the capability of doing things that many larger models simply can’t do. With the ease of movement and light weight, this unit can be easily transported around the shop or put in a work truck for use on a job site. The Hitachi C10FCH2 is easy to set up and requires only a couple of clamps. This is almost unparalled in the woodworking industry.
I can fully recommend the Saw for any small wood shop.
