The Good
This is one of the biggest coolers that we’ve seen so far. Its enormous capacity is the main selling point. Also, the insulation is quite good. The high quality reinforced plastic body will hold up well against the elements. The lid is particularly strong and sturdy enough to sit on.
The Bad
The one thing that’s not so great about this cooler is that it’s a little difficult to lug around. It does come with wheels and a handle. However, the problem is that the handle does not extend. As a result, you have to hunch over a bit when dragging this cooler around.
Best Suited For
If you’re planning a long camping trip, this cooler is an excellent choice. Just make sure that you fill it up after you get to the campsite, not before. It’s a little difficult to transport once you load it up. This cooler would also be a good choice for tailgaters.
Not So Good For
Any type of activity that requires a lot of walking around with a cooler. The awkward handle works fine for short distances, but you don’t want to have to push this thing up a hill or lug it across bumpy terrain.
The Verdict
If you’re looking for a huge cooler that’ll keep your drinks and food cool for a long period of time, this offering from Coleman won’t disappoint. It’s built out of solid reinforced plastic, so you likely won’t have any trouble with leaks or cracks. But if you intend on walking around with your cooler, you may want to choose a more portable option. As far as pricing goes, it’s not the most expensive cooler but it’s not the cheapest one out there either.
